quiet magazine :: WNC Independent Music Wiki

Welcome to the WNC Independent Music Wiki, a service of quietzine.com.

The goal of this site is to enable users to catalogue stories, facts, and history about independent rock'n'roll in North Carolina west of Asheville. The site can be easily navigated using the Timeline, the category tags (Bands, Venues, and People) at left, or the Search function.

Any visitor may create or edit almost any page on this site, and visitors are encouraged to offer any knowledge they have. Formatting tips can be found in the Using PmWiki section of the sidebar at left, but users are encouraged to submit even unformatted content rather than none at all, and the site administrator will happily add the appropriate links, italics, etc. as soon as possible. You can also practice editing in the Sandbox without fear of messing anything up.

Any link with a question mark beside it leads to a page that has yet to be created; simply click the link to begin creating the page. To create an entirely new article, simply type the title into the box below:

Registered users gain the ability to upload photographs and any other relevant files, and registration helps to maintain the integrity of the site by including the author's name in all edits. Interested users are encouraged to sign up at the Registration Page.
